Winding down the Summer and Jazz Colony so here is the MODIFIED BALANCE OF
THINGS HAPPENING FOR JAZZ COLONY:

1.  Next EWHS Jazz Colony Session, this Wednesday, 8-22-2012, at the EWHS band Room 6p-9p.

Steve Treseler and Dan Taylor promise to make it a very fun and enjoyable session with some instruction, jamming and maybe some viewing of some Jazz Music Videos….   Don’t miss it!!!!!!   (This could be the last Jazz Colony band room session, depending on the next Wednesday – last gig….

2.  CHANGE – NO Romeo’s gig for Jazz Colony for Tuesday, August 28, 2012 – 7p-9p.  We have swapped out that gig for another Port of Edmonds, Sea Jazz Gig on Wednesday July 29, 2012.   EWHS Jazz Combo 1 – “Ave B” will be doing the Romeo’s gig on July 28, 2012, 7pm to 8pm, so come on out to watch, eat and support one of our combos.

3.         FINAL JAZZ COLONY EVENT  – Weather Permitting –  FREE

Jazz Colony performing, Jam Session, at Sea Jazz at the
Port of Edmonds – west side of the Anthony’s Home Port Building
Really cool venue --  we hope to have our whole crew there (36 kids) to all
Play on different songs through the evening (like two weeks ago)

If it rains, we will cancel and go to the EWHS band Room for one final indoor session with Steve Treseler and Dan Taylor.  Pray for nice weather!

The Song/Set List Standards for Jazz Colony is the same from our two prior gigs.  See Below.

Dress:    Jazz Colony shirts for the musicians….  Sunglasses.

Parents and Audience:  bring your own lawn chairs to sit in….

Come down to play or watch as it is really fun to see our EWHS Jazz Students play together…..

It has been fun all summer having the kids play together!  I have seen some great individual improvement and confidence of these kids who have participated in the Jazz Colony this summer.  Congratulations on all your work!  I look forward to seeing all the kids playing together in the 2012-2013 EWHS Jazz program and making the overall program great!!!!

Call me or email me if you have any questions.

And they will pack it up and come up to Jazz Colony for the Balance….  But Jazz Colony members can watch them from 5:00 – 5:45 before they have to go to the Wed Jazz Colony Session.
